Worusa (Unedo van de Vondel x Silverstone)
The dam, Gorusa B.S., is a half-sister to the national 1.45 m show jumper Mackensen (by Inaico VDL), ridden by Michael Morrissey. The granddam, Zorusa, has a highly successful half-brother in the international 1.55 m Grand Prix horse Iggy Pop (by Dallas VDL), ridden by Joseph Davison. In the fourth generation, this maternal line traces back to a half-sister of the Grand Prix horse Rocto (by Indoctro), ridden by Benas Gutkauskas. This direct family has also produced Olympic superstar Fibonacci 17, ridden by Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, as well as other 1.60 m performers including H&M Crusader Ice and Hello Valentino. The sire, Unedo van de Vondel, was awarded a premium at the KWPN Stallion Approval and, as a grandson of the 1.60 m mare Calleryama, successfully ridden by Gilles Thomas, is regarded as a highly promising prospect for both sport and breeding.
