In the pedigree of Venaico BS, two strong performance lines are combined. His sire, Chicago Blue VDL, is a promising son of Grand Prix and European Championship medalist Cella and represents the renowned Van ’t Roosakker line. Dam Nappycinthe VDL is a half-sister to the international 1.40m horse Lago Maggiore VDL (by Baltic VDL), while granddam Happycinthe VDL comes from the same mare as the 1.45m-classified Amalia (by Arezzo VDL). In the third generation, we find Kyacinthe, a daughter of Emilion, who appears in the dam line of several 1.50/1.60m horses such as Fontaine Blue VDL, High Point VDL, Stardust degli Assi, and the Olympic horse Benitus di Vallerano.
