Wirocco (Comthago x Zirocco Blue VDL)
Wirocco is a son of the Grand Prix-winning Comthago VDL, who has achieved notable international success under Hessel Hoekstra. His oldest offspring, now eight years old, are making an impressive breakthrough at the 1.45 m level, including Noble Ami, Nena-Alve DV, and Cawamia. The dam, Gateau de Pomme, combines the blood of the Olympic stallions Zirocco Blue VDL and Jus de Pomme. The maternal line then continues with the 1.35 m show jumper Pomme de Holland. As a result, Wirocco shares the same granddam as the international 1.50 m show jumper Diadora (by Douglas), ridden by Eugenio Garza Pérez. This maternal family has also been represented at the highest international level by, among others, the Indoctro daughter Nadia, successfully ridden by Will Simpson.
