Wednesday is sired by the exceptionally talented Boston VDL, who was approved by the KWPN with an impressive 87.5 points before going on to win the Stallion Competition. This son of Baltic VDL has made a strong impression with his outstanding canter, rideability, and jumping ability, making him a highly promising young breeding stallion. The dam, Jiddah, is a half-sister to the internationally successful 1.45 m jumpers Larderello (by Arezzo VDL), ridden by Wilton Porter, and Hertogin van de Kouberg (by Den Ham Blue R), ridden by Hendrik-Jan Schuttert. The granddam, Doreen van de Lingehoeve, has also produced several successful 1.30/1.35 m show jumpers. In the second generation, the internationally successful sport stallion Gaillard de la Pomme contributes his valuable performance genetics to this pedigree.
