Umbertho descends from the genetically very interesting Grand Prix stallion Glasgow van 't Merelsnest, with whom Jur Vrieling was valuable to the Dutch team on many occasions. His eldest descendants have broken through at 1.60m level, such as High Five, Imperial HBF, Iwan and Gweedore vd Groote Kamps Z. On his mother's side, Umbertho represents the leading Lottie/Zottie lineage. Grandmother Doklahoma DN is a half-sister of four international showjumpers, including Roberto Teran Tafur's Woklahoma (s.Sheraton), who was successful at the highest level, and already produced the NRPS-approved stallion Conprice (s.Conthargos). The famous stock dam Elottie W produced the 1.50/1.60m horses Amadeus, Jarno W, Lottie W and HBR Tennessee W.
